With so many negative stories we’re bombarded with every day, I wanted to share with you a wonderful thing that happened yesterday.
I received an e-mail from a very honest, thoughtful gentleman that had found a purse which had been tossed in the bushes in Portland. This good samaritan played detective and put some puzzle pieces together. He found a receipt from a wedding booking we made with the mother of a bride. He searched on the internet and found us at Sandlake Country Inn and Oregon Coast Weddings & Elopements. After receiving his e-mail I contacted the Mother of the bride to let her know her purse had been found.
Turns out her car had been broken into and her purse stolen! Some very important information was still in the purse so the Mother of the bride was thrilled and amazed at the opportunity to get her belongings back.
I just wanted to give a shout-out to John Elliotte, the good samaritan who went out of his way to find the owner. It turns out that John Elliotte owns a business in Portland called:
If you’re looking for a rain barrel, I wouldn’t hesitate to take my business to someone who is one of the ‘Good Guys”.
By the way, John has absolutely no idea I’m doing this post. Just thought I’d give the good guy some kudos.
